Like so many great ideas, the concept for Marktinc arose out of frustration. The founders of Marktinc use to visit many organizations as interim marketing and development specialists. Regardless of company size or degree of professionalism of the companies, there was one major returning issue: hardly anyone involved in the marketing process had access to the latest marketing planning and financial plans.
At the beginning of a new year marketing calendars are shared, often with campaign planningsas well. These plans are created in Excel or Powerpoint and saved somewhere on a network drive. Or even worse, locally on one's PC. By moving campaigns back and forward or adjustments in expenditures or available budgets, the previously supplied Excel and Powerpoint schedules and statements are outdated in no time. Off course this has a major impact on the employees and external agencies involved.
Mid-2011 Sander Hakze, Ferdinand Bol, Gabri van Lingen and Sidney Rutten decided to found Marktinc. The basis is formed by the Marktinc marketing planning tool (SaaS). Later the components workflow management and financial reporting were added.
